Mary K. Schultz

–

Reedsburg, Wisconsin

Mary Kathleen Schultz, who would have celebrated her 89th birthday on September 28, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026 surrounded by her family.
Mary was born on September 28, 1937, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Donald and Elsie McGee at Columbia Hospital. She graduated from Messmer High School in Milwaukee in 1955. On May 6, 1995, she married the love of her life, Ronald "Duffy" Schultz.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Elsie McGee, and her beloved husband, Duffy. She leaves behind her children, Erin (Randy) Mueller of Stoughton, WI; Ann (Martin) Bradley of Navarre, FL; James (Amy) Haase of Potosi, WI; Lisa (Rob) Parkinson of Navarre, FL; Melanie (Greg) Schinker of Rock Springs, WI; and stepdaughter Shelley Schultz of Reedsburg, WI; her brother, Donald (Sharon) McGee of Oconomowoc, WI; 14 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandsons.
Mary's greatest joy was her family. She believed in being together, making memories, laughing, and, most importantly, giving plenty of hugs. When you arrived, Mary gave you a hug, and when you left, you got another. Though she was little, her hugs were mighty and full of love.
She had a wonderful sense of fun and loved a little friendly competition, especially when she could beat her kids and enjoy some bragging rights. Mary also believed you were never too old for an adventure. Just this past summer in Florida, she went boogie boarding and made one more special memory with her family.
Mary taught those who loved her to cherish family, laugh often, love deeply, and never stop making memories. Anyone who knew Mary had been changed for the better. The world has a little less good in it today because Mary is no longer here, but her love, laughter, hugs, and kindness will live on in all those who were lucky enough to know her. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be given to Sacred Heart School or VFW 1916.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Mark Wagner. Visitation will be held at 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at Church. Interment will be held at St. John Cemetery in Reedsburg.
