Patricia A. Hazard

Patricia Ann (Baxter) Hazard, age 89, of Poynette, gently and peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 28, 2026, a few days before her 90th birthday. She was born August 4, 1936 to Walter and Naomi Baxter in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
Patricia (Pat) grew up on her parents' farm in Fairfield Township. She was a graduate of Baraboo High School and was very active in vocal music. Pat was a member of the choir, many ensembles, and was known throughout her community for her outstanding voice. In 1962, Patricia met Stanley Hazard who ran a dairy farm with his parents outside of Poynette. Stanley and Patricia were married on January 25, 1963. She moved to the Hazard farm in Poynette where she and Stanley farmed and raised 4 children. Pat and Stan celebrated their marriage of 62 years on January 25, 2025, shortly before Stan's passing on February 13 of that year.
Pat was an active singer, blessing many throughout the years, and faithful member of the Rio Assembly of God Church (now Bedrock Church) in Rio, Wisconsin. She made a gospel album in 1983 entitled "Peace In the Midst Of My Storm" after surviving a serious health challenge.
She is survived by her children, Greg (Joanne), Vicki, Scott (Lisa), Wendy; ten grandchildren, Brett (Noel), Christine, Naomi, Noah (Amber), Ryan (Rebekah), Lindsay, Rachel, Thomas, Reagan, and Nick; six great-grandchildren, Caeden, London, Max, Audrey, Scarlet, and Maverick. She is further survived by six nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley, sister Joan, and parents Walter and Naomi Baxter.
Patricia loved her family intensely and was a devoted wife and mother. She had a deep love for Jesus Christ which grounded and shaped her amazing life. She will also be remembered for her quick wit, delicious cooking, love of wildlife, flower gardens, dominos parties, deep friendships, and firm views.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Grasse Funeral Home, 401 Angel Way, Rio, Wisconsin from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. As per Patricia's request, a private family service will follow. Cards may be brought to the visitation or sent to The Hazard Family, W5483 Hall Road, Poynette, WI, 53955.
